1. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

A. Applicant & Business Details

D. Industry-Specific Approvals

  • Consent from Kerala State Pollution Control Board (PCB)
  • Fire Safety Certificate (if required)
  • Factory License (for large industries)
  • Explosive / Hazardous license (if applicable)

E. Site & Operation Details

  • Site Plan / Layout Plan
  • Machinery Details (list + power load)
  • Process Description (what you manufacture)
  • Waste disposal plan

F. NOCs (if required)

  • Fire Department NOC
  • Health Department NOC
  • Electricity Connection Proof (KSEB)

2. APPLICATION FORM CONTENT

The Industrial Trade License application should include:

  • Name of Industry
  • Type of Industry (manufacturing / processing / workshop)
  • Location with Ward Number
  • Nature of activity
  • Number of workers
  • Installed machinery & HP details
  • Pollution category (Green / Orange / Red)
  • Working hours

3. STEP-BY-STEP APPLICATION PROCESS

STEP 1: Identify License Type

STEP 2: Obtain Application Form

  • Visit Municipal Corporation Office

4. IMPORTANT CONDITIONS

  • Must comply with Pollution Control norms
  • No industrial activity in residential-restricted zones
  • Noise and waste limits must be followed
  • Safety equipment mandatory
  • Renewal required every year

  • Small unit: ₹1,000 – ₹5,000
  • Medium: ₹5,000 – ₹25,000
  • Large: ₹25,000+

6. RENEWAL PROCESS

  • Submit renewal application before expiry
  • Attach:
    • Previous License copy
    • Updated tax receipt
    • PCB consent renewal
  • Pay renewal fee

7. COMMON REJECTION REASONS

  • Improper zoning (residential area)
